About Florida State Beekeepers Association
The Florida State Beekeepers Association was organized in 1920 when beekeepers from around the state met in Gainesville, Fl. Since then it has grown in membership and today supports over 40 local beekeeping associations throughout the state. The FSBA as evolved into a major voice representing beekeepers and the beekeeping industry in Florida. From large commercial beekeeping operations, to sideline beekeepers to beekeeping hobbyists; you will find Florida State Beekeepers across the state involved in honey production, crop pollination, honey bee production, research, and beekeeping education.
The Florida State Beekeepers Association is a 501(c)(3) organization that promotes beekeeping, education, and honey bee health. Membership is open to all. We partner with national beekeeping organizations and our local associations to promote honey bee health, sound management practices and reasonable regulation of the apiary industry.
We encourage beekeepers and non beekeepers who are concerned about the plight of the honey bee to join us in our effort to promote the honey bee and preserve the unique beekeeper way of life.
